Sounds awesome! I'm definitely up for a challenge. Thanks for the tip – less crowds is a huge plus. Steeper climb doesn't bother me; I'm hoping for a good workout anyway. How long did it take you to complete the Sharp Peak trail? And any recommendations on gear I should bring besides the usual hiking stuff?
