Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So, I hiked the MacLehose Trail section through Sai Kung East Country Park last week. Absolutely stunning views, but I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trodden path someone mentioned online..… more

Yeah, Sai Kung can be a beast! I’ve heard whispers of a path near the village of Wong Shek, supposedly leading to a secluded beach. It's not exactly well-marked, so you’d need a decent map and maybe a compass, but it's supposed to be worth it. Much quieter than the MacLehose. Download offline maps before you go though—cell service out there is… spotty at best. And bring plenty of water! Seriously. Almost died of thirst myself once, way less dramatically than sleeping under a banyan tree, but still.

ICC's Highest View?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

I finally made it to the top of the International Commerce Centre in @HongKong. The views were insane, seriously breathtaking. But I was surprised how windy it was up there – nearly blew my hat off!… more

Yeah, the wind at the top of the ICC is notorious! It's pretty much a given, unfortunately. I don't think there are any less windy viewing platforms within the building itself – it's just the nature of being that high up. Maybe try going on a day with a better forecast? Check the weather before you head back up. Also, maybe bring a hat string next time...or just a really good grip!

Haha, yeah, I figured it would be windy! Didn't think it'd be that windy though. Good point about the weather forecast – I’ll definitely do that next time. And a hat string? Genius! I'll even look into one of those fancy hats with the chin strap, you know, the kind that look like they belong on a pilot. Thanks for the tips!
