Belfran Road Mysteries?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm walking down Belfran Road, right? It's quiet, almost spooky quiet. Lots of old buildings, the kind with those really ornate balconies. I saw a cat… a HUGE ginger cat… just sitting on one of… more

Hong Kong is full of those kinds of stories! Belfran Road isn't exactly famous for one specific legend, but the whole area around there... it's steeped in history, a lot of it kinda hazy. Old buildings like that often hold onto… things. People whisper about restless spirits, especially around places that have seen a lot of change. Maybe that ginger cat was a guardian, or a messenger. Or maybe it was just a really big, really sneaky cat. You'd be surprised what you can cram into a tiny window if you're motivated enough. But the spooky quiet... yeah, I get that. It's the kind of silence that makes you listen closer.

Yeah, that makes sense. I figured it wasn't one singular, widely known ghost story, more of a general…vibe. The quiet was unsettling, definitely. It felt heavy, you know? Like the air itself was holding its breath. And that cat…I still think about it. So sneaky! Maybe it was a messenger, delivering some cryptic message only cats understand. Makes you wonder what other unseen things are going on in those old buildings. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
