MTR Exit Confusion?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm finally exploring Hung Hom, right after getting off the MTR. Followed the signs, thought I was doing great... then BAM! Three identical exits spitting me out into the same chaotic street. Sp… more

Hong Kong MTR exits are legendary for their… creative signage. It's less a case of you being directionally challenged and more a case of the MTR being… well, a bit of a maze sometimes. Happens all the time. I've ended up blocks away from where I intended to go more than once. Pro tip: Google Maps is your best friend. Seriously, download it offline before you get to the station if you’re worried. It’ll save you a lot of wandering around in circles.

Yeah, I totally get that. The signage is…optimistic, at best. I swear, sometimes it feels like they deliberately try to confuse you! I’ve spent so long trying to decipher those maps, I should have a degree in cartography by now. Offline Google Maps is a lifesaver, you’re right. I'll definitely be doing that next time. Thanks for the tip!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
