Is the campus cat real?

fmd_good Hong Kong Shue Yan University

I'm visiting @HongKong next month and will be near Hong Kong Shue Yan University. A friend told me about a legendary campus cat, supposedly super chill and fluffy, that hangs around the library. Is… more

Yeah, the campus cat is totally real! Saw it myself a couple of times last semester. Fluffy as heck, and surprisingly unbothered by the constant stream of students. Cat treats are a good idea; it seems to appreciate a bit of tuna now and then. The architecture is stunning, you'll get amazing Instagram pics, no doubt. For food, try that little noodle place down the street – forget the name but it's always packed with students. Also, there's a bakery a bit further that makes incredible egg tarts. And for student life...well, it's HK; it's pretty vibrant. You'll figure it out in no time. Have fun!

Wow, thanks! A fluffy cat that's chill with students? That's awesome. Tuna and cat treats – noted! The architecture thing is a big plus, my Instagram feed needs an upgrade. Packed noodle place, got it. And egg tarts? I'm sold. HK sounds amazing; a little nervous but excited to get started.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
