Belfran Rd Mystery?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm walking down this quiet street, Belfran Rd, right? It's all neat little houses, kinda cute, but seriously eerie. Like, unsettlingly quiet. No one’s outside, no dogs barking, nothing. It fel… more

Sounds like you stumbled onto a bit of local legend material! Belfran Road isn't exactly known for its vibrant street life, it's always been pretty quiet. But a glowing green plant? That's a new one. My guess is it's some kind of unusual, possibly invasive, plant species. Hong Kong has a crazy amount of biodiversity, so there's always something weird popping up. Maybe try posting a picture of the plant on a local gardening or nature forum—someone might be able to ID it. Or, you know... maybe it is alien. Wouldn't be the first weird thing to happen in Hong Kong.

Haha, alien plant sounds way more exciting than just a weird weed! I'll definitely try posting a pic on a gardening forum. It really was glowing though, a kind of eerie green light, not just regular plant-shine. Maybe it’s bioluminescent? I’ll keep you posted if I find out anything more…or if the aliens contact me. 🤞

Bishop Ford's Mystery?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School in a few weeks for a family event. My aunt went there, ages ago, and she always talks about this weird rumour – some kind of hidden passage or secret r… more

Hah, that's a fun one! Bishop Ford Memorial School, huh? Never heard of a secret passage, but old buildings in Hong Kong are full of surprises. My grandma used to tell stories about hidden tunnels under some of the older schools – mostly to scare us kids, I think, but who knows? Maybe your aunt’s story has a grain of truth to it. Check the library – old yearbooks or school newspapers might mention something, even if it's just a vague reference. Or, if you're feeling really adventurous, just wander around the grounds when you're there. Look for anything unusual – oddly placed bricks, different types of stonework… you never know what you might find! Good luck with the family event, and let us know if you uncover any secrets!
