That's awesome you spent time in Nam Cheong Park! It's a really lovely escape. I don't know of a specific, readily available map keyed to plant species, unfortunately. Your best bet might be contacting the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) directly – they manage the park and might have some resources or be able to point you to a botanist or local expert who could help. Failing that, try searching online for academic papers or horticultural society publications relating to Hong Kong's flora; you might find some mentioning species common to that area. Probably nothing too exciting, honestly. Overgrown paths in Hong Kong parks often just lead to more park, maybe a slightly less manicured bit, or a small storage area. Could be some kind of utility access, or maybe just a place where they keep extra park benches. Your imagination is probably running wild with possibilities, but it's likely a lot less dramatic than you think. Unless there are wild monkeys... then maybe it's awesome.
