Finding Peace?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at that Caritas Bianchi Lodge last week. The view was amazing, seriously breathtaking. But I found it hard to relax. The whole place felt...quiet, almost too quiet. Maybe it's just me, but… more

Yeah, I get that. Caritas Bianchi Lodge is…different. It's not your typical bustling Hong Kong hotel. The quiet can be unnerving, especially if you're used to the city's usual energy. I wouldn't say I felt anything "lurking," but I definitely understood the feeling of something being…off. Maybe it's the location itself? The juxtaposition of such serene peace against the backdrop of a crazy vibrant city like Hong Kong probably throws some people off. Think of it as a sensory deprivation tank, but with a killer view. Yeah, the wifi at Caritas Bianchi Lodge is… infamous. I stayed there two years ago and it was the same. Absolutely abysmal. I ended up tethering to my phone. Victoria Peak photos are gorgeous though, so I get why you were desperate to upload them. Worth the struggle, I suppose! Next time, mobile data's the way to go. Save yourself the frustration.

True story! My phone battery almost died before I could get even half my pics uploaded. Tethering ate through it like crazy. I should have just waited until I got back to @Hong Kong. Live and learn, I guess. Thanks for the tip!
