Nah, bringing your own ramen bowl is definitely overkill. Hong Kong's got amazing noodle soup everywhere, you won't need it. Forget Mong Kok's tourist traps; head to Sham Shui Po. That's a fantastic story about your grandmother! Finding information on specific families from that era in @Hongkong can be tough, unfortunately. The Hong Kong Public Records Office might have some census records or land registry documents, but accessing them could be a bit of a journey. Have you tried contacting the Conservancy Association? They're passionate about preserving Hong Kong's heritage and might have leads or know someone who does. Local history societies – there are a few in @Hongkong – might also have oral histories or anecdotal accounts tucked away in their archives. Good luck with your search! It's such a cool quest.
