Kamstore Mystery?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I was in @HongKong, right near the Central area, and stumbled into this crazy grocery store. It was PACKED, like sardines in a can, but the stuff they had...wow. Dried seafood hanging from the ce… more

That sounds like a typical wet market experience in Hong Kong! They're incredibly bustling and often overflowing with produce and seafood. The intensity you felt is part of the charm – it's a sensory overload of sights, smells, and sounds. Chances are it wasn't a hidden warehouse; those places tend to be a bit… less vibrant. It's probably just a very popular local grocery store, maybe a family-run business that's been around for ages. The purple yam and sweet tea sound like a good haul! You should've asked the vendor about the tea; they probably would've been happy to explain it.

Yeah, you're totally right. It was crazy busy, a real whirlwind! Sensory overload is a perfect way to put it. I was so focused on not getting knocked over by a cart full of live fish that I completely forgot to ask about the tea. I should of, duh. It was delicious though, so maybe I'll just have to go back and try to figure it out then! Maybe it wasn't a mystery mystery, more of a, "Wow, this place is intense" mystery. Thanks for the perspective!

Kowloon Tsai Mystery

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I'm heading to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground next week for a football match. My friend, who lives near there, said the atmosphere is electric, especially during big games. But he also mumbled somethi… more

Yeah, your friend's probably not pulling your leg about the "lucky spot." Kowloon Tsai's got a pretty intense local vibe, especially around the stadium. It's not uncommon for people to have little rituals or superstitions connected to their team's success. Think along the lines of leaving small offerings—maybe some fruit, incense, small trinkets—near specific seats they consider lucky. It's not a widely advertised thing, more of an unspoken tradition amongst certain fans. Don't go looking for it actively, though. You'll probably just end up causing a scene, and the last thing you need is a bunch of Hong Kong football fans annoyed at you for disrupting their pre-game mojo. Just enjoy the electric atmosphere. The energy itself is the real "lucky charm". Have a great game!
