Finding decent durian

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in @HongKong, right? And I'm trying to find good durian. I've been to a few of these… uh… *places*… and the durian's been… underwhelming, to say the least. Like, seriously, it’s been almost… more

Head to Mong Kok. Seriously. The fruit markets there are insane. You'll find durian stalls everywhere, and the quality is usually way better than the stuff in Central. Don't be shy about sniffing – a good durian should practically knock you over with its aroma. If it smells faintly of gym socks or artificial fruit, move on. Trust your nose, it won't steer you wrong. You'll find some truly amazing stuff there, I promise. Good luck, and may the durian gods be with you.

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
