That's great advice! I hadn't thought of a dim sum menu app – that's a game-changer. Pointing and miming is my usual strategy, but it's definitely less elegant than using an app. I'm usually with friends who are just as clueless as I am, so the "go with a friend" tip is less helpful for me, haha. The "start small" part is golden though; I've definitely over-ordered before and ended up with way too much food. The chef's recommendation is tempting, though... I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to food, so maybe I'll stick to the app and point and grunt method for now. Thanks!
