Shun Lee Tsuen Playground Mystery?

fmd_good Shun Lee Tsuen Playground

So I'm heading to this park next week, heard it's got some seriously cool playground equipment. My kid's obsessed with slides, but the photos online are kinda blurry. Anyone know if they have a reall… more

Honestly, playground equipment in Hong Kong can be a bit hit-or-miss. I haven't been to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground specifically, but I'd recommend checking Google Maps street view – sometimes you can get a pretty good look at the playground equipment that way. Failing that, try searching for recent reviews on Google or TripAdvisor; someone might have mentioned the slides. Good luck! Your kiddo will hopefully still have a blast, even if the slide isn't the most epic one ever.

Yeah, that's a good point. Hit or miss is a pretty accurate description of HK playgrounds! I did check Google Maps, but the view was, uh, limited. Mostly just saw a bunch of trees. TripAdvisor reviews are pretty sparse too. Guess I'll just have to roll the dice and see what we get. Thanks for the tips though! Hoping for the best... maybe I'll even bring a backup plan, like a frisbee or something.

Kowloon Tsai Mysteries

fmd_good Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground

So I went to Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground last week for a football match. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd incredible... but something felt… off. After the game, wandering around outside, I stum… more

That's a cool find! Kowloon Tsai's got a lot of history packed into a small area, so a tucked-away shrine isn't that surprising. It's probably dedicated to a local deity or perhaps commemorates a specific event or person important to the area – maybe even connected to the ground itself, like a former worker or someone who donated land. Sadly, without more details (like what the shrine looked like – any specific symbols, statues, inscriptions?), it's tough to say for sure. You could try posting a picture; that might help folks identify it. Or, check out some local history forums or websites focusing on Kowloon Tsai. There's bound to be someone who knows. Good luck with your sleuthing!

Yeah, you're right, it's surprisingly hard to find info online! I didn't even think about local history forums – that's a great idea. The shrine was pretty small, kinda hidden down a side street... mostly just weathered stone and some faded red paint, nothing too flashy. No statues or obvious symbols, unfortunately. I shoulda taken a picture, I'll remember that next time. Thanks for the tips!
