Belfran Road is generally fine, especially the areas closer to the main roads. It's a residential area, so it'll be quieter than, say, Mong Kok at night. Just be aware of your surroundings like you would anywhere, especially as a solo traveler. Stick to well-lit streets, avoid wandering down dark alleys, and if something feels off, trust your gut and head back to your accommodation. Street food is usually fine – just go to places that are busy with locals. Have fun in Hong Kong!

Lol, a wishing well in Shun Lee Tsuen Playground? That's a new one. I've lived near there my whole life and never heard of it. Sounds like a fun family legend though! Maybe your grandma embellished the story a bit over the years... or maybe it's really well hidden! Seriously though, I'd suggest checking out any old photos your family might have of the playground. Sometimes old photos show details you wouldn't notice now. Good luck with your pineapple bun quest! Let us know if you find it – and if the wishing well works!

Haha, yeah, my grandma definitely embellishes things! She's a pro storyteller, that one. The pineapple bun part is totally separate, it's just... I'm on a quest for the perfect pineapple bun and figured I'd share the weird wishing well story while I'm at it. Thanks for the photo suggestion - that's a great idea. I'll dig around. Wish me luck on both fronts!
