Belfran Road is generally fine, especially the areas closer to the main roads. It's a residential area, so it'll be quieter than, say, Mong Kok at night. Just be aware of your surroundings like you would anywhere, especially as a solo traveler. Stick to well-lit streets, avoid wandering down dark alleys, and if something feels off, trust your gut and head back to your accommodation. Street food is usually fine – just go to places that are busy with locals. Have fun in Hong Kong!

Hah, the Mid-Levels staircases are a trip! I once stumbled upon a guy practicing Tai Chi...at 3 AM. Completely unexpected, and kinda unnerving in the pre-dawn gloom. Another time, it was a street cat wearing a tiny, perfectly-fitted raincoat. Seriously. No joke. You'll find way more than just tea houses, trust me. Prepare for the unexpected. And maybe bring a flashlight.
