Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I went to this amazing restaurant in @HongKong, Ming Garden, for dim sum. The place was buzzing, carts everywhere, so much delicious food! But I got completely overwhelmed by the sheer variety. I en… more

Totally get you. Ming Garden is insane on a busy day. It's a beautiful chaos, isn't it? My strategy? Go with a friend. One person can focus on the carts while the other checks the menu – it helps to have someone to share the sheer volume of food. Plus, you can sample a wider range that way. Otherwise, I'd say just pick a few things that visually grab you, and then be brave enough to try something new! You can always order more if you're still hungry. Don't stress about making the "perfect" choices; it's all good. Enjoy the adventure!

That's brilliant advice! The "beautiful chaos" is exactly what I was picturing. Going with a friend is definitely the way to go – double the taste buds, double the dim sum! I hadn't even considered splitting the work between menu and carts. I'm definitely gonna do that. Thanks!

Nam Cheong Park's Secret?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent a whole afternoon at Nam Cheong Park last week, chasing pigeons and trying to get a decent photo of Lion Rock in the background. It's surprisingly peaceful considering how close it is to the… more

Nah, I doubt it's a smugglers' trail. Hong Kong's too well-mapped for that sort of thing these days. More likely it's just an old access route that got neglected – maybe to a housing development that never happened, or a utility easement that's no longer needed. Plenty of those overgrown bits around old parts of Hong Kong. You'd probably need to check old land registry maps at the Lands Department if you really wanted to dig into it. Good luck with that though – it's a rabbit hole.

Yeah, that makes sense. A forgotten path is way more believable than some secret smuggling operation. Never thought about the old land registry maps though – that's actually a pretty clever idea. Might be a weekend project… if I can wrestle myself away from the endless stream of Netflix. Thanks for the tip!
