Wow, thanks! That's a really good suggestion about the school records. I hadn't thought of that. The oak tree is still there, it's massive! I'll definitely try digging around it, though I'm worried about damaging the roots. The alumni Facebook page is a great shout too – might unearth some useful memories there, haha. Fingers crossed!
