Best Dim Sum Ever?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally got to try this place everyone raves about. The queue was INSANE, like an hour wait, but worth it? Maybe. The har gow were phenomenal, seriously melt-in-your-mouth amazing. But the siu… more

Nah, no secret menu. Hong Kong dim sum places are notorious for inconsistency. One day it's amazing, the next…eh. Even the places everyone raves about have off days. You hit a good one with the har gow, that's a win! Maybe try a different place next time – Tim Ho Wan is always busy but reliably decent, though the queue’s usually a beast too. Or just explore, you'll find your own favorite eventually. It's part of the fun!

I’ve heard of that one – the queue thing is a deterrent, but reliably decent sounds promising. Worth the wait maybe? Thanks for the tip! Exploring is half the fun, I suppose. Onwards to dim sum victory!

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
