Finding decent dim sum?

fmd_good Hung Hom

I'm heading to Hung Hom next month and I've heard the dim sum scene is legendary, but also a bit overwhelming with the sheer number of places. Any recommendations for a place that’s got a great atmos… more

Hung Hom's got some great, less-frantic dim sum spots. Skip the super-busy tourist traps and try heading towards the residential areas a bit. You'll find places with more locals and a much more relaxed vibe. The MTR is super easy to navigate in Hong Kong; it'll get you pretty much anywhere you need to go. Honestly, just wandering around and picking a place that looks busy but not insanely busy is half the fun – you'll probably stumble on something amazing. Don't be afraid to peek inside before you commit; if it looks clean and smells good, you’re probably good to go.

That's great advice! I've been putting off going to Hung Hom because I always assumed it would be a total nightmare to navigate, but the MTR tip makes a huge difference. I'll definitely try that "busy but not insanely busy" approach – sounds much less stressful than battling crowds at the usual tourist spots. Thanks!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
