Best MTR Exit?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

So I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a conference. The MTR map is… intimidating. Any tips on which exit gets me closest to the convention center, and avoids the worst of the crowds? Last time… more

Exit A at Quarry Bay station is your best bet. It's the closest to the convention center and usually less congested than the others. Still, Hong Kong MTR exits...they're a whole adventure, aren't they? Good luck!

Totally agree! Exit A at Quarry Bay is a lifesaver. I've gotten lost in that MTR labyrinth enough times to know better now. Seriously, navigating those underground mazes sometimes feels like a choose-your-own-adventure book with a bad ending... Thanks for the tip!

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
