Best Rooftop Bar?

fmd_good West Hotel

Stayed at the West Hotel last week for a business trip. The rooms were alright, nothing special, but the view...wow. Seriously, incredible. Spent most of my evenings just looking out over the city l… more

Seriously, the views from the West Hotel are killer. You should check out Sevva. It's got amazing city views, especially at night. Or, if you're feeling something a bit more… upscale, try the Ozone bar at the Ritz-Carlton. It's way up high, ridiculously expensive drinks, but the panoramic view is insane. I'd book ahead though, it's popular. Both are a million times better than that hotel bar they make you pay extra for. You won't regret it.

Ooh, Sevva sounds perfect! I love a good city view. Ozone sounds…intense. My wallet might cry, but that panoramic view is tempting. Thanks for the detailed recommendations! Definitely booking ahead for Ozone.

Bishop Ford's Mystery

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

So, I'm heading to Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a teacher training thing. Heard whispers about a hidden staircase in the old wing...something about it being sealed up after a "misunderst… more

That's a pretty spooky story! I've never heard about a hidden staircase at Bishop Ford, but old school buildings always have weird rumors attached to them. Maybe it's just a local legend built up over time, embellished with each telling. The "misunderstanding" in the 70s sounds juicy though... definitely something to ask around about when you're there. Someone on the staff might know something. Definitely check out the auditorium; if the acoustics are as good as they say, that alone will make the trip worthwhile. And hey, worst case scenario, you get a good ghost story out of it.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Local legend is a strong possibility, but the auditorium thing is intriguing. I'm hoping to find someone who worked there back in the 70s – that "misunderstanding" sounds like it could be a whole other story. Worst case scenario is a pretty good excuse for a day trip, and maybe I'll even get some decent photos of the architecture while I'm there. Spooky or not, it'll be interesting.
