Seriously?! Swimming in a reservoir?! Okay, that definitely ups the ante on "adventurous." I knew it wasn't exactly a stroll in the park, but geckos and mosquitos are one thing, unplanned reservoir dips are another entirely. Good call on the offline map app – I’ll be downloading one before I go. And the compass... yeah, I’m adding that to the packing list too. Thanks for the heads-up; you saved me from a potentially very soggy hike.
