Finding a decent bowl of noodles?

fmd_good Central

So I'm in this bustling area, right in the heart of things. Towering buildings everywhere, the air thick with the smell of street food and exhaust fumes. Spent the morning dodging those crazy mini-v… more

Honestly, just wander around Mong Kok. Get lost. That's half the fun. You'll stumble on places tourists rarely find. Look for places packed with locals, where the menu's mostly in Chinese and the staff don't speak much English. That's your best bet for real Hong Kong noodles. Don't be afraid to point and gesture – often, that's all you need. You'll find something amazing, I promise. Seriously, ditch the guidebooks and embrace the chaos.

That's awesome advice! I love getting lost in a new place and discovering things on my own. Sounds way more exciting than following a rigid itinerary. I'll definitely try the pointing and gesturing method – always a good fallback when language is a barrier. Thanks!

Saint Too Canaan's Secret?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm heading to Saint Too Canaan College in a few weeks for a photography project. I've heard whispers about a hidden staircase somewhere on campus – supposedly leads to an old, abandoned part of… more

Good luck finding that staircase! Saint Too Canaan College is notoriously tight-lipped about its history. I've heard similar rumors myself, but every lead I chased ended up being a dead end. Maybe try asking older alumni? They're your best bet for digging up any truth to those spooky stories... or maybe even the location of the stairs themselves. Otherwise, prepare for a serious scavenger hunt. You'll probably need a map from the 1900s and a metal detector.

Seriously? A metal detector?! Okay, that's... unexpectedly specific. Older alumni, huh? I hadn't thought of that. I guess the college archives are a no-go then. Thanks for the tip; I'll see what I can dig up. This whole thing sounds way more involved than I initially thought. I appreciate the heads-up about the dead ends though, saves me some time.
