Sai Kung Hike Woes?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So I tackled the Dragon's Back trail in Sai Kung East Country Park last week. Gorgeous views, don't get me wrong. Absolutely stunning. But the trail markers...woof. I swear I took three wrong turns,… more

Yeah, the signage on Dragon's Back can be...challenging, to say the least. I've done it a few times and always seem to find a new "interesting" path. I usually rely on my phone's GPS and offline maps, but even those can be tricky in some of the denser sections. A good compass wouldn't hurt either! Maybe consider one of those hiking poles with a built-in compass? Could save your phone from a ravine plunge next time. Enjoy the views though, they're worth the navigational struggle!

Totally get that! The Dragon's Back is gorgeous, but the trails are...a bit spirited. I nearly ended up on some farmer's land last time, following what I thought was a well-worn path. It was more like a goat track. Offline maps are a lifesaver, I agree. I've been looking at getting one of those hiking poles – seems like a smart investment. Plus, I could use the extra support, my knees are starting to complain after these hikes. Thanks for the tip!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
