Sounds like you stumbled onto one of those forgotten spaces that every big stadium seems to have. Probably just storage, or maybe an old concession stand they never bothered to remove. Hong Kong's got a million stories crammed into every corner, so a creepy empty alcove isn't that surprising. Unless you saw something actually weird in there… then maybe it's something else entirely. Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
