Is this place haunted?

fmd_good Bishop Ford Memorial School

I'm visiting Bishop Ford Memorial School next week for a photography project. Heard some crazy stories about it being a bit…active, after dark. Apparently, old Mrs. Chan, the former headmistress, st… more

Yeah, Bishop Ford... I've heard the whispers too. Mrs. Chan's thing is pretty standard fare for old schools in Hong Kong, honestly. The ghostly librarian, though? That's a new one on me. Never heard that before. Maybe it's a recent addition to the local ghost stories. My advice? Go for it! The creepier, the better for your photography project. Just be mindful of the security – you don’t want to end up with a trespassing charge alongside your spooky pics. And maybe bring a friend, just in case Mrs Chan is a bit more…enthusiastic about her missing books than the legends say. Good luck!

Haha, "enthusiastic" is one way to put it! I like your perspective on it all – definitely leaning into the creepiness for the photos. Security is a good point, hadn't thought about that. And a friend? Yeah, maybe that's a smart idea. Thanks for the tips!

PolyU Food Stalls?

fmd_good The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

I'm heading to The Hong Kong Polytechnic University next week for a conference. Heard the food court there is legendary. Seriously, everyone raves about it. But I'm a picky eater… what are the *actu… more

The food court's pretty big, so it depends what you're after. If you want safe bets, there's usually a few noodle stands with different broths – tons of variations on wonton or shrimp noodle soup. Those are generally pretty mild. Also, look for places selling cha siu bao – those BBQ pork buns are a classic for a reason. Avoid anything that looks particularly…brightly coloured. That's usually a clue it's going to be more adventurous flavor-wise. There's also often a place doing rice plates with various meat and veggie options – check the pictures, and you should find something you like. It's usually pretty crowded at lunchtime, so be prepared to queue a bit!
