Best Tai Chi Spot?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

So I'm heading to this park next week, planning a solo trip. I've seen pictures – looks gorgeous. My question is, what's the best time of day to go for Tai Chi? I'm picturing myself doing slow movem… more

Early mornings, like before sunrise, are generally best. The air is crisp, fewer people are around, and you'll get that serene atmosphere you're looking for. Plus, you'll avoid the midday Hong Kong heat. Don't worry too much about being judged – most people practicing Tai Chi are pretty chill and just focused on themselves. Just go for it! You'll find your flow.

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about the heat – Hong Kong in the summer is brutal. Before sunrise it is. Thanks for the tip about people being chill too, that takes away some of the self-consciousness. I'll definitely give it a shot tomorrow.

Go early in the morning or late at night. Seriously, the difference is night and day. Rush hour on the Star Ferry is... an experience. Not a pleasant one. If you want the view without the scrum, avoid peak times. Plus, you'll get better photos with less people in them. Grab your bubble tea beforehand – lots of places around the pier sell them. Enjoy the ride!
