Dim Sum Dilemma?

fmd_good Tim Ho Wan

So I finally got to try this famous place everyone raves about. The lines were insane, waited over an hour, but the baked BBQ pork buns? Worth it. Seriously, life changing. But the rest...eh. Fe… more

The baked BBQ pork buns are the thing, yeah? Everything else is kinda… background noise. Honestly, at that place in Hong Kong, focus on their signature buns and maybe a couple of other small plates. Don't try to go full-on dim sum feast; you'll just be disappointed. It's a bun-centric experience, and that's ok. I'd skip the shrimp dumplings next time and maybe try their char siu (BBQ pork) rice or something else featuring their amazing pork. They clearly specialize in that.

Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

I spent a weekend hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park, absolutely stunning. The views from Sharp Peak were incredible, totally worth the sweat. But I got seriously lost trying to find a less-trod… more

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
