Hong Kong's old stadiums definitely have a vibe. That unease you felt? Totally understandable. Many of those older areas, especially Kowloon, hold a lot of history, some of it… less pleasant. Think forgotten urban legends, maybe some whispers of triad activity in the past. The shadows? Probably just rats or stray cats, but the imagination runs wild in places like that. The intense soccer game was a nice counterpoint though, huh? That energy could easily overshadow any lingering weirdness. You're not alone in feeling it; many people mention similar feelings about those older parts of the city. It's part of the charm, and also the slightly unsettling magic, I guess.
