Sai Kung's Secret Trails?

fmd_good Sai Kung East Country Park

So, I hiked the MacLehose Trail section through Sai Kung East Country Park last week. Absolutely stunning views, but I got hopelessly lost trying to find a less-traveled path someone mentioned online… more

The Dragon's Back trail is pretty popular, but still offers some nice solitude compared to the MacLehose. It's well-marked, though. For something really off the beaten path you'd probably need a guide or a seriously detailed map – Sai Kung's backcountry is serious business. I've heard whispers of some amazing trails near Tai Mei Tuk but haven't explored them myself...yet. Good luck and be careful out there!

Yeah, Dragon's Back is on my list, but I was hoping for something less...Instagrammable, you know? I appreciate the heads-up about Tai Mei Tuk – I'll definitely look into that. Seriously detailed map, huh? Sounds like a project! Maybe I'll just stick to the less serious parts of the backcountry for now. Thanks for the warning, I'll be sure to err on the side of caution.

Hong Kong's Hidden Noodle Genius?

fmd_good MingGarden Restaurant

I stumbled upon Ming Garden Restaurant while hopelessly lost in the labyrinthine streets of Mong Kok. The place was packed, mostly locals slurping away at steaming bowls. I ordered the wonton noodle… more

Yeah, Ming Garden is legit. I've been going there for years. The secret? Probably a closely guarded family recipe passed down through generations, plus top-quality ingredients. They're not gonna spill their magic formula, but trust me, the freshness of everything makes a HUGE difference. It's all about the subtle layers of flavor they build into that broth. And don't sleep on their char siu either; it's amazing. You found a true Hong Kong treasure!

Wow, thanks! Ming Garden sounds incredible. Years, huh? That’s dedication. Subtle layers of flavor... I'm already drooling. And the char siu?! Sold. I'm definitely adding it to my list for my next trip to Hong Kong. Appreciate the recommendation!
