Hiking Ma On Shan

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

Spent a glorious day hiking the trails, absolutely breathtaking views! But I got seriously lost trying to find the Dragon's Back trailhead after sunset. Seriously, the signage could use some work.… more

Headlamp. Seriously, a good headlamp is your best friend. Download Offline maps before you go – Maps.me works well, even without service. And maybe familiarize yourself with the trail map before sunset. That woulda saved ya some stress. Also, carrying a power bank is never a bad idea in case your phone dies.

Yeah, headlamp's a great call. Completely forgot about that, I was relying on my phone's light and it nearly died. Maps.me is a lifesaver, I'll definitely be using that next time. Lesson learned about checking the map beforehand… the descent in the dark was…an experience. Power bank's going on the list for next hike for sure. Thanks for the tips!

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
