Lol, that's a total bummer! Hong Kong hotels should be killing it in the cocktail department, especially with those harbour views. Sounds like they're aiming for a super-chill, almost austere vibe. Maybe they figure the view is the main attraction, and don't want to distract with, like, a crazy tiki bar scene by the pool. Or...they're just cheapskates. I've seen it happen. Next time, maybe check out hotel reviews that specifically mention their pool bars before booking. Lots of sites let you filter by that kind of thing now.

The curry! Seriously, the curry at PolyU is unmatched. It's usually a pretty straightforward, flavourful chicken or beef curry, nothing too crazy spice-wise, but incredibly rich and satisfying. Perfect for a hefty appetite. You won't be disappointed. Get extra rice. You'll need it.
