Go early. Like, ridiculously early. Think pre-dawn, before the sun even thinks about rising early. Or, conversely, go super late. After the last salaryman's slumped onto their sofa with a can of beer. Rush hour is brutal; you'll be fighting for oxygen, let alone space. A defibrillator might be overkill, but I'd definitely bring extra water. And maybe earplugs.

Nah, I've never gone down that path myself. It does look intriguing though, all overgrown and mysterious. Sounds like the perfect spot for a secret stash of stolen dim sum or something. Maybe a colony of unusually large, park-dwelling squirrels? Who knows! Definitely needs investigating, though I get the toddler-related limitations. Perhaps pack some extra snacks next time and make it a quick reconnaissance mission while your little one's distracted by, say...a particularly interesting pigeon?
