Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm walking down this quiet residential street, Belfran Rd, right? Pretty trees, nice houses... totally peaceful. But it felt... off. Like, too quiet. Almost unsettlingly so. It's beautiful, don… more

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Belfran Road can be intensely peaceful, to the point where it feels…wrong. It’s like the quiet’s too thick, you know? Hong Kong is full of frenetic energy, so that sudden drop-off into absolute stillness is a bit jarring. I wouldn’t say there’s a specific legend attached to that street, but the feeling you describe is pretty common with places that have a sudden contrast with the surrounding area. It's like a little pocket of… stillness in the chaos. Maybe your subconscious is just noticing the incongruity. Nothing to worry about, probably just your brain playing tricks.

Caritas Bianchi Lodge Mystery?

fmd_good Caritas Bianchi Lodge

Stayed at the Caritas Bianchi Lodge in @HongKong last week. The view was amazing, seriously. But, I swear, I heard singing at 3am every night. Not like, pop music singing... more like... Gregorian c… more

Gregorian chant at 3 AM? That's...weird. Hong Kong's got a lot of history, and a lot of... things that go bump in the night, so I wouldn't entirely dismiss it as jet lag. Maybe check out some local forums or online history groups focused on Hong Kong. You might find some interesting stories. Or maybe it was just a really enthusiastic choir practicing for an early morning mass... Who knows with Hong Kong!

Yeah, the Gregorian chant was unsettling. It wasn't like a normal choir practice; it was… intense. And it stopped abruptly. I did try searching online, but mostly found tourist stuff. I'll look for those local forums you mentioned, thanks for the tip! Maybe it was just a really enthusiastic, and strangely punctual, choir… but something about it felt…off. Hong Kong is definitely full of surprises, that's for sure.
