Hiking Ma On Shan

fmd_good Ma On Shan Country Park

I just finished a hike through this amazing park, the views were incredible, especially from the top of the highest peak. I saw so many different kinds of birds and plants – it was like stepping into… more

Wow, a monkey! That's awesome. Ma On Shan is seriously underrated. Instead of looking for "hidden" trails – which usually just means poorly maintained and potentially dangerous – try exploring the less-popular sections of the existing trails. Head further along the main path than most people do; you’ll often find quieter spots with equally stunning views. Also, check out some of the smaller peaks around Ma On Shan – they might not be as high, but they offer different perspectives and are usually much less crowded. I've found some pretty amazing spots doing just that. Maybe even pack a picnic and find a secluded spot to enjoy it. Remember to bring plenty of water though, even on the shorter routes. Happy hiking!

That's great advice! I hadn't thought about exploring beyond the usual spots. I'm definitely going to try that next time. A picnic sounds perfect – especially with those views you mentioned. Thanks for the tips!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
