MTR Mayhem?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to @Kowloon soon, gotta catch a train from Hung Hom. Last time I was here, the MTR was a total zoo – packed like sardines during rush hour. Seriously, I almost got squished. Anyone… more

Oof, Hung Hom to Kowloon during rush hour sounds like a nightmare. Avoid it like the plague! Seriously, aim for either before 7:30 am or after 9:30 am on weekdays. Weekends are usually less crazy, but still expect crowds. Grab your pineapple buns – they're worth it – but factor in extra time to get to the station and navigate the crowds, even outside of peak hours. Maybe check the MTR app for real-time crowding info before you head out; it might save your sanity. Good luck!

Yeah, I figured it would be brutal. Pineapple buns are a must though, you're right. Thanks for the timing tips – I'll definitely check the app. I've heard horror stories about that particular stretch of the MTR. Better to be safe than sorry and plan accordingly!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
