The egg waffles are pretty hyped, and deservedly so. They're amazing. But honestly, don't sleep on the noodle stalls. There's usually one doing a killer wonton noodle soup – super rich broth, perfectly cooked noodles. That's my go-to. The variety changes a bit depending on the semester, so just wander around and sniff things out. Your nose will lead you to greatness. Good luck with your semester!

Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
