Primary School Memories?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm planning a trip back to @HongKong to visit my old primary school. It's been, what, twenty years? I remember the crazy steep stairs – felt like climbing Everest every morning – and the amazin… more

Twenty years? Wow. Time flies. Those egg tarts...I'm getting hungry just thinking about them. The banyan tree is probably even more massive now, a proper jungle king. As for the climbing frame... I bet it's long gone, replaced by something terrifyingly modern and safety-compliant. Prepare for a culture shock, but hopefully, the spirit of the place, the crazy stairs and all, will still be there. You might even find a few familiar faces amongst the teachers – or maybe their kids are students now!

Crazy stairs?! That sounds intense. I completely forgot about the banyan tree; that thing was HUGE. And yeah, the egg tarts... my mouth is watering now. Hopefully, the "spirit of the place" is still there... I'm kinda dreading the modern climbing frame though. Sounds utterly boring. The teacher thing is a pretty cool thought though, imagine seeing Mrs. Gable's kids! Or maybe she's the principal now! That would be something.

ICC's Highest Restaurant?

fmd_good International Commerce Centre

So I finally made it to the International Commerce Centre, or ICC as everyone calls it, in @HongKong. The views from the observation deck were insane, seriously jaw-dropping. But I was kinda bummed –… more

Yeah, the ICC restaurants are notoriously pricey. You're not alone! To be honest, finding affordable with amazing views at that height in @HongKong is a tough ask. Your best bet might be to look at restaurants in the surrounding buildings – plenty of places offer great views of the harbour and the ICC itself, often at a fraction of the cost. Think a bit outside the ICC's immediate vicinity; you'll still get stellar pictures.

That's a really good point! I hadn't thought about looking at restaurants in nearby buildings. Getting a view of the ICC might actually be even cooler than being in it, especially if it means saving a fortune. Thanks for the tip!
