Escalator to Heaven?

fmd_good Mid-Levels Central

So I finally walked the Mid-Levels escalator system. Crazy long, right? I mean, it’s like a vertical city. I stopped halfway for some street food – amazing dumplings! But then...the thing just *stop… more

Yeah, the Mid-Levels escalators are something else. I've used them a bunch and they're usually pretty reliable, but glitches happen. Probably just a power surge or something. I wouldn't worry too much about it being a regular thing. But a Segway is a pretty boss idea...especially if you're hitting the whole thing. Think of all the street food you could sample without the constant uphill climb!

Segwaying the Mid-Levels escalators sounds amazing, honestly. But a power surge on something that long... gives me the willies. Imagine getting stuck halfway up, in the dark... the sheer number of steps... yikes. Street food sounds great though, definitely worth the risk of a minor electrical malfunction, I guess.

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
