Probably just a regular supplier, but maybe they're using some seriously vibrant dyes. Those colours are intense. I've seen similar bright plastic stuff at some of the smaller toy wholesalers in Mong Kok – maybe check around there? Otherwise, it's the magic of Hong Kong, I guess. Anything's possible.

Yeah, I've been to Shun Lee Tsuen Playground a few times. The climbing frames are great, my kids love them. Never noticed a stone lion though. Sounds like a good urban legend starter kit! Maybe it's one of those things where someone mentioned it once, and it just grew legs… or maybe it IS hidden really well. Let me know if you find it!! I'll be checking next time I'm there.
