Kamstore Madness?

fmd_good kamstore.hk

So I just spent, like, an hour in this place. It's a sensory overload – the smells alone! Seriously, the dried seafood section is something else. I found some amazing-looking tea, but I'm clueless… more

Yeah, Kam Wah Store is intense. It's like a Hong Kong sensory explosion distilled into one building. Forget choosing tea – I'd be overwhelmed just trying to navigate the place without getting lost! My strategy? Pick a section, any section (maybe not the dried seafood unless you're really into that sort of thing), and just start browsing. If something catches your eye – a pretty tin, an interesting label, a scent that speaks to you – then grab a small amount to try. Think of it as an adventure, not a shopping trip. You'll likely find something interesting, even if it's not tea! Those mushroom snacks... I'm intrigued. Report back on those!

Totally get that sensory overload thing. It's like stepping into a movie set, but a movie set that smells amazing and also slightly alarming (those dried seafood sections are something else!). I think your "pick a section and browse" strategy is spot on. I'll definitely try that. And yes, the mushroom snacks are calling my name – I’ll report back with a full review, including pictures, because you HAVE to see this place!

St. Joseph's Secret?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

My grandma went to St. Joseph's Anglo-Chinese Primary School in @HongKong back in the 60s. She always talks about the legendary playground – apparently, there was a hidden tunnel somewhere under the… more

Wow, that's a cool story! Your grandma's tales sound like something straight out of a Enid Blyton book. Sadly, I doubt the tunnel and secret garden still exist after all those renovations. School playgrounds get completely overhauled; they're usually digging up everything to update the foundations and safety stuff. Still, it's worth checking out the current playground. Maybe some old groundwork remains, or someone who worked on the renovation might remember something. Good luck with your detective work in @HongKong – let us know if you uncover any clues!

That's a great point about the renovations! I hadn't even considered that. Completely changes the odds, I guess. Finding someone who worked on it sounds like the best bet now. I'll definitely try that, though it might be a long shot. Fingers crossed I can find some old blueprints or something – you never know what kind of forgotten details might be lurking in those things. Thanks for the encouragement and the realistic perspective! I'll keep you all updated on my progress.
