Self-Checkout Shenanigans?

fmd_good PARKnSHOP

So I'm in this massive supermarket, right? Lines are insane. I opted for the self-checkout, thinking I'd be clever. Wrong. The thing kept rejecting my Octopus card, then it wouldn't scan my avocado… more

Dude, Hong Kong supermarkets and their self-checkouts? It's a rite of passage. Octopus card shenanigans are legendary. Try tapping it really firmly, sometimes they're just picky. As for the avocados... those things are notorious for messing with the scales. Oof, Sai Kung can be a beast! Sharp Peak is killer, I agree. Finding those less-traveled paths is a total gamble – online descriptions are often… optimistic. Forget about hidden beaches, you're lucky you even made it back. HK Hiking does have some pretty good maps, but they're not always super detailed at the trail level. Have you looked at AllTrails? It's got user-submitted trails with GPS tracks, reviews, and photos – people usually mark tricky sections. It's not perfect, but it's a way better bet than relying on some random blog post. Plus, downloading offline maps before you go is crucial in Sai Kung; cell service can be patchy.
