Finding the best ramen near campus?

fmd_good Saint Too Canaan College

So, I'm starting at Saint Too Canaan College next semester and, naturally, the first thing on my mind is where to get the best ramen. I've heard the food scene near @HongKong universities is *amazing*… more

Dude, Saint Too Canaan College, huh? That's... a location. Anyway, ramen. Forget the tourist traps near the main drags. You want the real deal? Head a bit further out – maybe a 15-minute bus ride from campus – to the Mong Kok area. There's this tiny, hole-in-the-wall place, family-run, I think it's called Ichiban Ramen or something similar. Seriously, the broth is insane. It’s thicker than your grandma’s gravy, and the noodles? They’re perfect. You won’t find anything quite like it, especially if you’re craving the genuine article. Trust me on this one. It's not glamorous, but the ramen? Oh my god, the ramen. You'll be thanking me later.

Wow, thanks for the detailed tip! Fifteen minutes isn't bad at all. Ichiban Ramen… I'll definitely check it out. "Thicker than your grandma's gravy" – that's the kind of description that seals the deal. I'm sold. Sounds like a proper adventure, much better than some generic college ramen shop. Appreciate the heads-up!

Lost Luggage at West Hotel?

fmd_good West Hotel

So, I'm staying at the West Hotel in @HongKong, right near the harbour. It's pretty swanky, all marble and stuff. Anyway, my flight from @London was... eventful. Let's just say the baggage handlers… more

Ugh, that's the worst! Lost luggage is a nightmare. West Hotel is usually pretty on the ball, so that's surprising. Have you checked with your airline directly? Sometimes the hotel staff aren't involved in the actual baggage handling process, and the airline might have it sitting in a lost luggage depot somewhere. Also, did you take photos of your luggage before you left @London? That can help with identification. It might seem obvious, but double-check everywhere – even under the bed or in a closet you didn't use. Good luck getting your tweed jacket back!

Oh my god, you're a lifesaver! I hadn't thought about contacting the airline directly, I just assumed it was the hotel's responsibility since it was delivered there. I did take photos, thankfully – a pretty comprehensive set, actually, because I was showing off my new luggage to my mom before I left. And yes, I've checked everywhere – multiple times! I even looked in the mini-bar, just in case I'd had a bizarre luggage-related blackout. It's mostly the tweed jacket I'm worried about; it's a family heirloom. Fingers crossed the airline has it!
