Yeah, I figured it might be a bit like that. I've done some hiking in @Hong Kong before, but nothing quite as remote as Sai Kung sounds. Thanks for the heads-up about the High Island Reservoir trail – that sounds like a good starting point. Definitely will be checking the forecast obsessively and packing the water bottles to the brim! Appreciate the safety advice too; I'll let someone know where I'm going. Sounds like a challenge, but those views...worth it hopefully!
