Try netting your balcony. Seriously, it's a common problem in Hong Kong. Those pigeons are bold. A simple net will keep them out, and you can still enjoy the view. Or, embrace the chaos and start feeding them strategically… become the pigeon king/queen of your balcony. Then you'll have an army of feathered friends, instead of foes. It's all about perspective!

Mid-Levels Mystery?

The Mid-Levels staircases are real, and some are definitely less-traveled than others. Forget "secret societies," though – that's mostly embellishment. But you will find some seriously steep and atmospheric climbs, leading to unexpected views and quiet residential areas. Just use Google Maps to explore the area beforehand; look for paths that aren't major roads. You'll stumble on some cool stuff, I guarantee it. Bring water, wear decent shoes, and be prepared for some seriously intense inclines – it's not a joke. Have fun, but be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. It’s not exactly dangerous, but it's certainly not Disneyland.
