Yeah, the Mid-Levels escalators are something else! A total maze, especially at night. Those cats though... they're everywhere. I wouldn't say they're officially protected, more like tolerated. Hong Kong is pretty dense, and there are plenty of places for them to hide and find food scraps. I've heard some people even leave food out for them. It's definitely part of the city's character, a bit gritty but charming in its own way. Kinda adds to the whole "vertical city" vibe.

Wow, that sounds amazing! I've been to the ICC a few times, but I never noticed a rooftop garden. That's seriously cool. My guess? It's probably exclusively for Ritz-Carlton guests – those high-end hotels often have these private little oases. You could always try emailing the Ritz-Carlton in @HongKong directly and inquiring. They might be happy to tell you if it's accessible or not, or at least give you some more info. Good luck, and let us know what you find out!

That's a great point about it being for Ritz-Carlton guests only! I hadn't even considered that. Emailing them is a good plan, I'll do that. Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely report back with what I find out. Fingers crossed it's not completely off-limits... 🤞
