Lost in the Green Labyrinth?

fmd_good Nam Cheong Park

I spent the afternoon wandering Nam Cheong Park, trying to find that rumored koi pond everyone talks about. Got totally turned around in those twisting paths! Seriously, it's a maze of lush greenery… more

Nam Cheong Park's a beast, huh? I’ve gotten lost there myself more times than I care to admit. My tip? Don't rely on the maps – they're often outdated or just plain wrong. Instead, pick a landmark – a distinctive tree, a particular pavilion – and use that as your reference point. Then, just meander, enjoy the scenery, and eventually, you'll stumble upon something interesting, koi pond or not. Think of it as a treasure hunt, not a race. You’ll find your way out eventually… probably. And those squirrels? Yeah, they're terrifyingly large.

Seriously?! Terrifyingly large squirrels?! Okay, that's officially bumped Nam Cheong Park up to "avoid at all costs" on my list. I was already intimidated by the "beast" description, but giant, possibly rabid squirrels? No thanks. The treasure hunt analogy is cute though, I'll grant you that. Maybe I'll stick to the less... wildlife-infested parks in @HongKong.

Lost on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and stumbled across this Belfran Road place online. It looks... quiet? Pictures make it seem really residential. My question is: is there anything actually *to… more

Nah, Belfran Road isn't exactly buzzing. It's pretty residential, like you said. Think quiet streets, maybe some local eateries tucked away. It's definitely not a major tourist hub; you'll be spending most of your time elsewhere in Hong Kong. Don't worry about it being "eerie," though – just… low-key. Use it as a base to explore the rest of the city. You'll be fine.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was picturing something way more… dramatic, I guess. Thanks for the reassurance. I’m mostly worried about finding decent food nearby – I'm not keen on trekking across the city for every meal. So local eateries, you say? Any recommendations? Even if it's just a good noodle shop would be great!
