St. Joseph's Playground Mysteries?

fmd_good St. Joseph Anglo-Chinese Primary School

So, I'm visiting family in @HongKong and their kid goes to this school. The playground...it's like something out of a movie. Seriously, it's awesome. Huge, old trees, weird sculptures...I swear I s… more

Nah, no official legends I've heard of. Hong Kong's full of old buildings and hidden spots, though – plenty of room for urban myths to sprout up. Maybe the "shadow" was just the wind playing tricks on you in those big old trees. As for the marble game...kids are inventive. They probably just made it up. But hey, a spooky playground adds to the adventure, right? Sounds like a great family memory in the making.

Yeah, you're probably right about the wind and the kids. I guess my imagination got the better of me. It was pretty creepy though, especially that giggling sound I thought I heard. Still, it was a fun evening, and the kids loved it. We'll definitely be back, maybe even during the day to check out those old trees properly!

Lui Seng Chun's Secret?

fmd_good Lui Seng Chun

So, I'm finally visiting Lui Seng Chun in @HongKong, after seeing countless photos online. The architecture is stunning, seriously like stepping back in time. I spent hours wandering the alleyways,… more

Seriously? No decent milk tea near Lui Seng Chun? That's a crime! You should've wandered a little further. Head towards Hollywood Road – there are tons of cha chaan tengs (茶餐廳) packed in there. You'll find your Hong Kong-style milk tea fix, no problem. Loads of places spilling out onto the street, too. You'll be spoiled for choice. Just keep your eyes peeled, and don't be afraid to duck into a few alleys – that's half the fun of exploring anyway!

Oh wow, thanks! Hollywood Road, huh? I completely missed that. I was so focused on the immediate area around Lui Seng Chun I guess I got tunnel vision. Sounds like a much better plan than sticking around there. Appreciate the tip! I'll definitely check it out next time I'm in the area.
