Finding Peace on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So, I'm planning a trip to Hong Kong and Belfran Rd caught my eye. It looks quiet, residential...a nice contrast to the bustling city. My question is: are there any hidden little tea houses or cafe… more

Belfran Road is pretty residential, so your hopes of a quiet escape are realistic. Finding a truly hidden gem might be tough though, as Hong Kong's a pretty well-mapped place. Your best bet is to just wander down Belfran Road itself – keep an eye out for small signs, maybe something tucked away on a side street. Look for places that seem more frequented by locals than tourists. Don't expect huge neon signs advertising the perfect tea house experience; think more along the lines of a simple, unassuming shopfront. That's where the real finds often are. Good luck with your hunt!

That's great advice, thanks! I hadn't thought about just wandering and seeing what I stumble upon. I'm usually so focused on planning everything that I forget to just...explore. I'll ditch the detailed itinerary and see what Belfran Road throws my way. Fingers crossed for a charming little tea house or maybe even a bakery with amazing egg tarts. Wish me luck!

Quarry Bay's Best Kept Secret?

fmd_good Quarry Bay

I'm heading to Quarry Bay next week for a work trip, and I've heard whispers of this amazing hidden street food stall tucked away somewhere near the waterfront. Locals call it something else, apparen… more

Nah, they're messing with you. There's no secret super-duper amazing stall. It's all a bit of a local legend, like Bigfoot, but with noodles. Quarry Bay's got tons of great street food, though. Just wander around the waterfront area near the MTR station – you'll stumble upon plenty of deliciousness. Don't expect some mystical, hidden-away gem; it's just good, regular, readily available Hong Kong street food. You'll be fine.

Haha, yeah, I figured it was probably a bit of a myth. Thanks for the realistic answer though! I'll definitely check out the waterfront area near the MTR then. Sounds way better than hunting for some mythical noodle stall anyway. Appreciate the tip!
