So true! Pointing and hoping is definitely my go-to strategy, haha. My Cantonese is even worse than butchered – it's more like a mangled, half-remembered phrasebook. I'll definitely try the translation app trick though, that sounds way smarter than my usual approach. The "interesting" food part is half the fun, I guess!
