Finding Parking on Belfran Rd?

fmd_good Belfran Rd

So I'm visiting a friend on Belfran Rd, and honestly, the parking situation is a nightmare. It's like trying to find a unicorn in a field of kittens. Seriously, I circled the block five times before… more

Oof, Belfran Road parking is legendary. Five times around the block? Amateur. I once spent forty-five minutes circling, only to get a ticket for parking too close to a fire hydrant I couldn't even see because of a delivery truck. Seriously, the whole area's a parking warzone. My best advice? Public transport. MTR is your friend. Or, if you must drive, try parking further down by the waterfront and walking. It's a longer trek, but way less stressful than that guerilla warfare going on around Belfran Road. Prepare for a hike, though. And good luck. You'll need it.

Forty-five minutes?! Wow. I knew it was bad, but that's… a whole other level. I might actually just bite the bullet and take the MTR. That waterfront walk sounds… less appealing than battling for a spot, but significantly less rage-inducing. Thanks for the heads-up! I'll probably need that good luck, too.

Hung Hom's Hidden Lanes?

fmd_good Hung Hom

So I'm heading to Hung Hom next week, staying near the waterfront. I've read about the amazing street food scene but also saw some mention of these tiny, almost secret alleyways tucked away behind th… more

Yeah, Hung Hom's got some cool little side streets. Definitely worth a wander during the day – you'll find some great local eateries tucked away that you wouldn't see from the main roads. Think tiny dai pai dongs, maybe some old-school noodle shops. At night...it depends. Some areas are fine, others feel a little more…sketchy. I wouldn't go exploring too far off the beaten path after dark, especially if you're alone. Stick to the more populated alleyways near the waterfront and you should be alright. You'll probably find more interesting food than "hidden gems" – authentic is the keyword there! It's less about finding some secret speakeasy and more about stumbling on places that have been feeding the locals for decades. Just use your common sense and don't be afraid to turn back if something feels off.
